Jean Paul Gaultier known as the Bad boy of fashion for many years now,
has he pushed the boundaries too far with his latest Winehouse inspired collection for his Spring Summer Couture show?
with reports in the news saying the Legend Amy Winehouse's father being furious with the designers latest collection and in bad taste I question is this too soon to be doing a collection on the artist?
This question will raise a lot of opinion's but Winehouse was a legend
and Like when Michael Jackson died inspiration of designers was shown all over the catwalk to the military jeweled jackets to Castelbajac's design below:
one of the reports I read was Amy's father was distressed with the dark veils on display at the Gaultier show,
but for any fashion lover they will know you get Gaultier couture with veils like Channel and Tweed
it comes hand in hand and in a way is to be expected.
Yes you may say that the Father is not a Fashion Icon and how would he know this,
But also Amy was a fashion icon and in her days she set many a trends including the revival of the brand fred perry and the infamous behive and cat eyes of the 60'S.
she was a legend like marylin and Jackson and personally I do not feel the show was done just to sell clothes but as a tribute to a amazing artist that inspired many around her and people she had not even met.
