CHEAPSIDE

This week’s upload is a little later than planned, but the work I saw at Hypha Studios’ Cheapside exhibition was too joyful and too full of character not to share. The show was curated by artist Rachel Mortlock, and it brought together a brilliant mix of playful, tactile, and quietly surreal pieces that really stayed with me. As always, my videos are about accessibility — bringing art to people who might not be able to travel, afford tickets, or feel comfortable in gallery spaces. This exhibition felt like a perfect example of why I do this: a group of artists creating work that’s open, curious, and full of personality, without asking the viewer to “know” anything in advance. If you enjoy discovering new artists, exploring quirky textures, or simply wandering through creative spaces with me, I think you’ll enjoy this one. Thank you for being here, and for letting these weekly visits become part of your own creative rhythm.
