Rankin and All Walks: and a little behind the scene stuff of London fashion week
Rankin and All Walks:
Late I know as this was from Fashion Week but now finally caught up and all i can say is,
Wow what a experience!
One of my most satisfying projects I work on and not for the pay is All Walks Beyond the Catwalk.
Founders Erin O'Connor, Debra Bourne and Caryn Franklin who are three amazing women I have a lot of respect for teamed up with 9 major movers and Shakers in the fashion industry.
Such as Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Giles Deacon showing us a glimpse of their new spring/summer designs. In keeping with the All Walks ethos of diversity was a range of models differentiated by age, shape and ethnicity,
The event was captured by internationally renowned photographer Rankin.
And lots of hard work and determination has been put into the new campaign by such a Small but truly Amazing Team.
working backstage on the event as the Stylist Assistant to the fabulous Scott Clark
was one of my jobs for the shoot.
Normally I dont get to excited or not with steaming its just something that you have to do.
However this Hussein Chalayan dress above was wonderful fun to repair before it went on Beautiful Model Naomi,
The Fabric molded and took shape under heat and had a foam texture to it.
one thing I will say to anyone that is studying A shoot has a lot of work into it,
somethings that your tutors etc may do that you do not even realize the production that goes into it is MANIC,
I have been working as Production Assistant for a year now to All Walks and do find these sheets ahh hmm that (i made hehe) cool showing you the models stats looks and that what we worked from organizing the shoot.
Natasha one of the models in the make up room trying on these Fab Matthew Williamson Earrings to match the Matthew dress we shot
for regular posts and to Follow more on all walks beyond the catwalk
which I also Blog on look at http://allwalks.org/?cat=12
which also has the links to there Facebook site and Twitter!
